World Tapering Org is a project initiated by two Dutch patient advocacy organisations: the Vereniging Afbouwmedicatie, (Association for Tapering Medication, Netherlands) and Stichting Opiaten Afbouwen (Association for Tapering Opioids, Netherlands).
All donations will be used exclusively for funding the World Tapering Org project.
Vereniging Afbouwmedicatie and Stichting Opiaten Afbouwen are registered as Public Benefit Organisations (PBO) in the Netherlands.
Your donation to World Tapering Org will help us to continue our fight for more humane tapering guidelines and access to proper low dosage tapering medication for people worldwide.
Antidepressants, benzodiazepines, sleeping medication, mood stabilizers and all other psychotropic drugs need to be tapered much more slowly than is recommended by the guidelines used by doctors to guide patients through their taper.

We need better guidelines that incorporate the lived experience of people who know what it is really like to taper psychotropic drugs.

National health services, governments, medical professionals and the pharmaceutical industry need to acknowledge that tapering too quickly can cause serious harm.

They need to share responsability for providing and financing safe tapering medication in low dosages to make tapering safer and more humanne for everybody.
